Re: English Jacks show yours
This one I had put on the Terrier thread a while back, but I will submit it here as well. 5-inch closed; single clip blade; worm groove brown bone handle covers; steel bolsters; brass liners.

Beautiful knives buddy.galvanic1882 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 3:01 pmThanks for starting this up again. Some really nice knives posted. When I first started collecting this was the pattern I liked the best. I might have posted some of these in other threads but figured I'd post them here also.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:27 pm This thread has lain fallow for 2½ years. Has anyone acquired an English Jack during that hiatus that wants to display it here? Anyone. Anyone. Bueller?

Some real eye candy being posted.
Here is a group of Robeson knives. The top is not stamped Robeson nor does it have a pattern number but clearly a Robeson contract knife.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I have gone through the entire thread again. A lot of thoroughbreds, a number of which speak well for the lesser-known manufactories from which they were produced.

Re: English Jacks show yours
I've always held a very narrow opinion of what constitutes a English jack. To me it is a knife over 4 1/2 inches with a narrow handle that tapers toward the blade, no pig stickers , no toothpicks, no swing guards just a big old jack knife. Here are 5 that I think qualify.
