Bridge Cutlery & Norvell
Bridge Cutlery & Norvell
Need a replacement secondary blade for my Bridge Cutlery knife, 2-1/4” I like to get a full blade but near full in good condition I like to find. Anyone know anyone? I would also like to find donor scales for my Norvell as well.

No need to replace the scales on that Norvell, that can be repaired with AcraGlas. Bridge knives are scarce. A full blade is a tall order.

Those are beautiful little sleaveboards. Very nice old time covers.
There is a "Bridge Cutlery Co. St. Louis" in "Knife Lore" with more knives.

I know it’s not gonna be an easy task but I was still hoping and take sometime do it right if I can for the collectors value for both.OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 3:20 amNo need to replace the scales on that Norvell, that can be repaired with AcraGlas. Thank you Joe, they definitely are something else. These are my only knives with pick bone. May I ask when you mention “Knife Lore” is it something that I can get parts from and possibly work for me? I don’t have funds often but I sure do hope when time comes I have them so I can get these two fixed.

He is referring to a thread in the Knife Lore forum here on AAPK. Do a search there for Bridge to find the thread.Clark23 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 4:24 amThank you Joe, they definitely are something else. These are my only knives with pick bone. Looking again I see your second knife is not a sleeveboard but perhaps a dog leg. What ever it is it has its history and I would hope you would consider carrying it as is or using AcraGlas as suggested before. That's a very nice knife.Clark23 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 4:24 amThank you Joe, they definitely are something else. These are my only knives with pick bone. Fixing old knives must go as planned. Mishaps can happen. These knives will still cut and whittle.
Other opinions will differ of course. I wish you the best with them.

Much as that is a good idea I have plans for either original donor scales or have someone make me scales for it. I really do appreciate the input. Thank you very much!FRJ wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 3:57 pmLooking again I see your second knife is not a sleeveboard but perhaps a dog leg.
