Very nice!
The color is quite unique and I just figured out what it reminds me of; some of those pieces have about the same coloration as some Robeson strawberry bone I have seen.
Excellent work! ::tu:: ::tu::

I will take Stag over any other handle material, does not matter if its
a pocket knife, fixed blade, sword, etc......never been a huge Red Stag
kinda color fan, all tho yours is different than that but along the same lines...
but holy smokes !!! There is 3-4 sets of your group there is just stunning !!!
Great work !!! Appreciate the lookie at em !!!

I was just now re-reading your recipe Joe...
I like part about "BASTING".
I got a chuckle from that part..... Makes you think of tasty things or even the turkey at Thanksgiving.

Get some of that fine stag on a knife soon! I bet that will make for a DELICIOUS looking knife!

Thought I would update this thread. I finally got around to using the stag I got from KC. It looks really nice. I was hoping for a little deeper penetration on the color, but the lighter stag underneath makes a nice contrast!

It has a different and unique look to it which I find has a certain amount of appeal, but in another way it bothers me a little bit. I'm not sure what it is. I've noticed that kind of feeling with knives that I have done that had a little penetration of the dye. I think it's a look that take some getting used to. If it really bothers you, you might try cutting the handles down where they're almost a perfect fit before you have them dyed. But part of what I find appealing is the contrast in colors. ::shrug::

I guess we're never happy.
All things.considered, I like it quite a bit more than I am bothered by the different look. Overall I give it up about 8 out of 10 in terms of aesthetic appeal.

The craftsmanship, on the other hand, is impeccable! ::tu::
