Old Beat Up Kutmaster

Post by Jeffinn »

I bought two of these off of E-Bay. I did one previously and decided to do this one in some red smooth bone that I had in my box. The knife was in okay shape with some minor pitting and rust on the blades;

Here it is disassembled:

Bone scales epoxied and clamped in place:

The color match seems a bit off but since I already glued them in place we'll go with them and see how it finishes out:

Handles polished and partially finished. The color still seems off but since I'm not looking to sell it, it'll be okay for the shelf:

Here's the knife during the trial fitting with some pins installed to hold it all together:

And here's the finished knife. There's appears to be a few minor scratches on the bezel that'll need to be re-polished, but its not too bad:

Jeffinn, that is some great color in those handles. You're getting into this. I enjoy watching the progress of your knives and the progress of their rehabber. ::tu:: ::tu::
