Old Beat Up Queen Electricians Knife

Post by Jeffinn »

I purchased one of these awhile ago. It had seen better days;

I tried to find some info on the tang stamp but there wasn’t one listed exactly like the one on my blade;

But I did find a post over in the Queen forum from Jerryd and his knife was exactly the same as this one so thanks to his efforts I now know a bit more about this knife.
According to the folks over at Queen these tang marks are probably indicative of a government contract knife made back in the 80’s.
The blade on mine was pretty beat up so I went with the satin finish and converted the knife over to a single blade EDC. I used some more of the ivory colored jigged bone and I lightly torched it.
It’s a nice little knife that’s ready for its second life;

Jeff you are both a knife resuscitator and a master bone toaster. Another great job. ::tu::

That's a big improvement Jeff! ::tu::
It looks nice enough for a Sunday-Go-to-Meetin' knife!

Nice work Jeff! I like the "torched" effect. ::tu:: ::tu::

Great job Jeff!
Those TL-29s sure make a nice looking knife if you get rid of that screw driver blade.
