Old Schrade SC505

Post by Jeffinn »

My original plans were to just replace the main blade with a new Schrade+ Heritage 889 blade. But I had continual problems getting all of the blades assembled back into the knife. After the third attempt, I disassembled the knife again, tore off the green hunter jigged bone handles and went with these smooth sunset bone handles. I went with flat top pins and made it a one blade EDC.

Nice job! It makes a great looking single blade. ::tu::
That blade is a great choice also for a single blade. ::nod::

Man.... that Sunset bone is KILLER!
I need to make me an order to Culpeppers and get some more bone. I am down to just a couple of dog chews and some crooked deer antlers.

Great job as usual Jeff!
That looks like a NICE EDC....

I love that one, great job! I hate that the blades didn't work out like you had first envisioned, but you turned it into a great save.
The variation in bone color is something that you cannot anticipate ahead of time, so to see those Mark side colors pop out as you worked it must have been a pleasant surprise!
