Remington

Post by Rossr »

This guy followed me home today. I'm thinking it just needs a nice clean up and it will make a nice daily carry knife. 2 blades still walk and talk and the big one is pretty smooth just no talk left. Bone handles appear In decent shape. Tang stamp chart says 1924 to 1933.

I posted it in the remington forum too. Whatcha all think?

Not really a shelf queen, but in really good shape. Blades are reasonably worn, not toothpicks, not busted off.

Full disclaimer: All my knives this old and older are no better than this. Oftentimes worse. My only real Remington (in other words, not contracted/licensed out to someone like Camillus), a Scout, is actually far worse.

I seem to.gravitate towards kniflves like that , maybe cause I can clean them up and give them a bit more life. For its age I'd say it's in good shape too.

Some clean up, resharpened the blades little buff. Should make a fine carry knife imo. For sure has life left in it.

That is a pretty one. I haven't seen many old knives with bone that lightly colored. Very unique.

Very good job on the clean up. Personally I LOVE HOKs of any old brand. They’re my favorite knives to carry.

I feel the same way... I'm carrying an E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter today...
