Old lever lock with a broken kickspring. Need help
Old lever lock with a broken kickspring. Need help
Hey everyone, first time post. Just picked this beauty up, sadly it's kick spring is cracked. Was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I might be able to pick up a replacement kickspring and can anyone tell me if it's as easy as pulling the old one out and sliding a new one in or would I have to take the entire knife apart.. Tang is stamped inox, thats it, no other markings. I figure this is ither an old French, Italian or Spanish made lever . Any info would be appreciated

To replace that spring you will have to disassemble the knife.
I'm not sure if you can buy a replacement spring. You might have to make a new one OR you might be able to weld that one back together since it looks like it is broken at the pivot.
I think INOX is Swedish?? (Like swiss army knife... maybe)
(I'm into US knives....sorry, not much help)

Bill Deshivs replied to the other (first) post. Said the knife is French and will need a new spring fabricated and installed.

Markings are only part of identifying knives. Many markings are the seller, not the maker. Generic markings like "stainless," "Rostfrei," or "inox" tell you very little. You have to look at the knife, THEN the markings.
