A couple more Camillus knives

Post by beresman »

I don't know why, but I seem to have been finding a bunch of decent Camillus knives with handles that are shot--here are a couple I re-handled recently. The Sword Brand had the greenish-white celluloid, and the 72 has a nondescript black plastic that was shrinking and curling. I'm hooked on the acrylic stuff--there are so many pretty patterns and colors to use. I really should try some stag some time, I guess--and I have some MOP, but have chickened out on trying to use it so far.

I too like the acrylics for rehandles. Kirinite Patriot and shredded money are my favorites.

A great job on those two! Acrylic can be beautiful, and is very forgiving to work with. I have picked up a few from the Bargain Bin at a Woodcraft store, but none that look as good as these two!
