Thanks fellas! As it happens, just this past weekend I decided to try my hand at adding a scale shield. I've never done this before, and found these old Schrade shields on eBay. I used a dremel to rout out the area then used some epoxy to cement it down. Definitely room for improvement, but I was pleased with my first try.
