Queen/Moore Maker Trapper Completion
Queen/Moore Maker Trapper Completion
I couldn't resist this set of parts left over from the demise of Queen Cutlery (first pic) and I just got around to finishing the job. It turned out to be a bit more work than I thought it would be, since the metal parts were all unfinished, as were the bone scales. But, this one is certainly an interesting part of knife history. I'm guessing, but don't know for sure that this knife was part of the work in process when Queen shut down. I find it interesting that the bolsters are solid steel, not NS. Oh, and the object laying across one of the scales isn't a worm. It's a piece of old, dried up rubber band still stuck on that scale. I assume it was put around this set of parts when it was put into storage.

It wouldn't have looked any better if the factory had've finished it!

Great salvage job!
I like yellow too! It reminds me of the old men and their "yeller" handled Case knives that were easy find if dropped while workin' in a cow pen or in the woods.
