I have one of those, Scott. My daughter gave it to me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I like it a lot but will never carry it. She's a safe queen.

thanks G-Dog! Just pointing out the dye could fade. That's part of a knife reviewers job is to point out the weak points AND the strong points. Helluva deal for the money tho.....

Off to the knext knife review....... ::groove:: ::groove::

Wouldn't have it any other way Scott. I was just amazed that the dye on my Case script faded like it did other than a Sodie Jr. those are the last Case knives I have purchased. If I don't have a Case at hand I won't order one ::huff::

A friend of mine has a couple of those red dyed case knives and there is more red color in the wrapping paper than in the handles. The things bled like crazy.

I bought the Big Pine green bone version of the premium awhile back, the final price IIRC was around 30 bucks plus shipping (don't know if I should say where...). Not a bad knife and gets some pocket time, more as a beater than my other knives. Sharpened up pretty good too.

It's funny there isn't a lot of talk about these Uticas, and the factory seems to be a mystery too. I'd love to know more. I've been tempted to buy more and to try the Adirondack in stainless too. At the very least Utica would be a good knife to give out to my Scouts.
