I appreciate your review Scott. Just looking I can see where the one blade could ::tu:: be a problem. Thanks.

Nice review. I always wanted a one arm blade, i never thought about how un-pocketable they could be. Thanks for the info.

Good review Scott. I would add that whoever dreamed up that name for it never spent any time in a calf pen! I don’t see anything on the knife of much use in that situation. ::facepalm::

I had been looking at the Calf Pen to add to my collection before I saw your review but as I don't have safe queens it had to be pocket worthy. Glad to see that your experience aligned with my thoughts from just looking at it online. Saved me some cash and a place in the collection for a more well thought out knife.

Your thoughts on the "One Arm Razor" blade was what swapped me over to the Bull Buster; which is about the same cost. The reason I was more interested in the Calf Pen originally was it had two blades (one locking) in styles I liked; and the screwdriver liner like the old British Army/Navy knives; and at a nice price of just over $70. I like something I can pocket carry and not need a sheath or slip (even with big patterns I find myself carrying on a belt more than the pocket).

But some makers do a pretty good One Arm blade. I've had no problem pocketing the Boker USA 495 Barlow, which has a Razor main blade and is just a bit smaller than the Calf Pen.
