Flea market find ?

Picked this up at the local flea market, for $3
any one know what it is used for.?
has a sharp front edge, all other edges are square .
thanks for looking.

The stamp says T. Dixon & Son, That is Thomas Dixon and son Joseph, they were a English Leather tool makers.
Try Goggling Joseph Dixon Leather tools and look at Google images.
It looks like your handle was part a larger leather tool called a Plow Gauge.
