Ulster with Hook-

Good evening! I was wondering what this hook was used for? Thanks for any input!

I believe that is called a button hook, that's some beautiful pearl ::tu::

If I recall correctly, these were used for the small buttons that used to fasten gloves, women's gloves in particular to be specific.

Nice find! I've mostly seen them from English and German makers, but not American.

It wasn’t just gloves. These women’s shoes were the fashion rage around 1890 - 1915. If you wore them you’d want a tool to assist hooking them too! ::woot::

I have some shirt buttons I could use a button hook for. The cuffs are always the trickiest. ::mdm::
