Wilbert Cutlery dates to the 19 teens. Your knife would be more than a hundred years old. An Antique! ::tu:: Mike

Price and Levine say they were made for Sears by EMPIRE(Winsted, Connecticut) and NAPANOCH, (NY) beginning in 1909. They are rated as "H", high value. Nice one. I'm a hawkbill collector and that one pushes all my buttons. Blade looks pitted but full. ::tu:: J.O'.

Challenge also made quite a number of Wilbert models.

Here's a Challenge-made Wilbert that a lot of folks confuse with Napanoch:

And here's its sister "Challenge" stamped knife:

"Pitted" doesn't bother me. Gives it character. J.O'.

David unfortunately those knives aren't mine. I stole those images off the web just to show some examples. They're definitely a couple of beauties though. You don't often see those big hunters with such full blades.

The TTC diamond stamp is believed to be a pre Wilbert Sears mark, sometime around 1905-08.The small saddlehorn knife is definitely a Napanoch made knife.
