Unknown Knife - Help!
Unknown Knife - Help!
I bought this knife at a junk store a couple of years ago. I'm always looking for a knife with some wear -- I love that there's an unknown story or some history. Almost all the knives I pick up have a manufacturer on them and I can figure out the model and age.. but this one has me stumped! Single blade, maybe mahogany scales. The only markings are on the blade (IN??A) and on the tang (H-39). Any information is appreciated (even educated guesses).

Maybe: "INDIA".
Folding knives have been made in India for a long time. I think the British got them interested in pocket knives.

KJ was right. I didn't find much, either; but, here is an image of one, that sold, out of the Stidham estate, for 39.99...back in 2017.

They are usually also crazy nail-breakers, for some reason...

That's the exact same knife! It definitely has a strong spring. If these things could tell a story... like how the heck it made it from India to Arkansas. Thanks, guys.
