Henckels
Can anyone add anything to my knowledge of this knife? Goins does not show this exact tang stamp. The pins are hammered and the swedge, thick construction and the long pull look to be early 20th century to me. Goins says that the Solingen firm lost the rights to market the trademark in the U.S. from sometime WWI until 1928. The smallest blade has been broken off at the tip. Otherwise the knife is nearly un-used and of a type that I really like. Thoughts?
Re: Henckels
I can't help with your questions...but that is a gorgeous knife, with exceptional bone!!!

Re: Henckels
It is a Henckels' made knife so made before 1960. Henckels did not change anything over the lifespan of a pattern so knowing how long before 1960 cannot be answered. To me all the tang stamps look pretty much the same except for the very old arched marking. Handles are what Henckels called "PS" for "Patent Stag", aka "jigged bone". No other manufacturer used bone like this. It is 'Henckels' bone'.
Is this 3 7/8" closed ? Recent ebay score ?
So far i cannot find this in my Henckels catalogs but there are about 1000 pages to check.
