Is this a authentic scout knife?

Post by semroc »

Hello all. I was thinking about bidding on this one. The main blade looks nice. Is it an actual Ulster? Is it real bone? What year do you think it might be? Thanks. I appreciate it. Item number. 401761500361

Here's the full link, and due to the condition I'd say it's legit;

https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-ULSTER ... 2304!US!-1

Looks like Delrin, missing the bail.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

semroc, It's Legit, but it is plastic not bone. It probably dates from 1976 to 1988
I think the price is a little high considering the bail is gone and the punch is broken.
This a common knife and there are several selling for about the same money that do not have broken blades.

Thank you. I appreciate the insight. Good to know its plastic, and not bone. I'll pass on this one. I do like the scout knives. I'll keep looking for an old bone scale one. Much appreciated y'all.

There are some modestly priced scout knives right here in the AAPK store, including one just like the one you posted (Delrin not bone) but in much better condition and with a very nice blade etch for an asking price of $30.
