Help With This Ka-Bar Fixed Blade Knife

My research says it was made made from 1950 to 1970.
Could not locate a picture of this knife on the internet.

Any Help would be appreciated. Name, Model Number, Dates Made, Ect.....OldYooper

I have 1 like it. Here it is between 2 USN knives. I was told it’s a 598. Made before after and during ww2

I’m not an expert, but by the tang stamps I’d say yours is older than mine. Nice knife.

Since it has the ALL CAPS KA-BAR logo, it is before 1952, when the company changed its name from Union Cutlery to Kabar Cutlery. At that time,the logo shifted to Ka-bar , i.e., uppper and lower case italicized.

Yooper, your knife appears to be a 5207 from just before the change to Kabar as ED's knife is marked. Looks like a pinned on pommel? Ed's 598 is later, 1952-1968 before they began putting model numbers on the blades. Ed's may actually have a different model number than 598 as they changed the model numbers a couple times after 1952, but if it were a pre '52 it would be a 598. Not sure of exactly when they changed the model numbers, they did use 598 for a while after the change from KA-BAR to Kabar.
