Camillus knife experts needed

Post by mmmorici »

Looking for some help on identifying this folding camillus knife. It has a 4 line tang stamp with Sword Brand on the opposite side of the tang. Many thanks.

From the stampings on the blade and those hard synthetic handles (sorry but I can't remember what that material is called), it looks to me like mid-1930s to very early 1940ish (pre WWII because they didn't use that handle material after WWII). If the closed length is 3-3/8" it's what later would have been a #14. If the closed length is 3-7/8" it's what later would have been an #18.

Not a particularly high dollar knife but for #14 fans like me, it's a gem.
