Gettysburg 140th Anniversary Case Knife

Post by MLLOYD »

It has two blades, a Trapper, I guess. Made in 2003, with a Red Bone handle, I guess. So what is the Model/Pattern number?

If this is it these are not red bone handles. Case 54 pattern trapper maybe 6254 or 9254 if the handles are Corelon and I think they are.

BTW this may very well be another SMKW exclusive or limited edition

I think the Corelon handled knives from SMKW back then started life having yellow handles, if so could be a 3254 pattern number.

My guess is that it is not an SMKW exclusive, but rather a Frost exclusive.

Agree. If it’s Corelon, Frost is involved - Frost owns the Corelon trade name and distributes Corelon knives. (Case uses “Kirinite” for knives made in-house at Case).

Trying to get information from Google is increasingly frustrating. So much of the information leads to broken links. From these copied and pasted Google search results that I looked at previously I gathered the knife was 9254. These links lead to nowhere. I think they come up trying to lead you to other web sites hoping you'll buy something there.

CASE XX USA 20th Anniversary Collectors Club Knife COA - $0.01. FOR SALE! ... Case The Battle Of Gettysburg 140th anniversary collectors knife 9254.

ALABAMA GUN COLLECTORS Association 40th Anniversary Case Knife #61 of 199 (1994) ... Case The Battle Of Gettysburg 140th anniversary collectors knife 9254.

This is the recent discussion on AAPK concerning the dates on Corelon. From this discussion and the connection of Case / Prater / SMKW / Corelon - there was a 99% chance this very knife was sold through a SMKW catalog.
