Hello All,
I have this Boker Sailors/Rigging Knife bought a few years ago.
The tang stamps compared with the stamp marks chart says that " may also be a repro"
My observation:
1. No tree medallion on scale
2. Tang marks are not deeply stamped
3. Ring on knife looks to be different than the sailor model, it's just a circular ring, not a flat one with instructions to release blade.
The blade though is made from high carbon and sharpening it took me a while...
Any comments from the Boker experts on here would be highly appreciated
Any idea if this Boker Sailors knife is genuine?

I’m not a Böker expert, but I’d say the knife is fine. Rarely if ever see a counterfeit Böker. It’s possible the bale (ring) - can’t see much of it in the pictures - has been replaced. That’s not uncommon. JMO

Thanks Ken and the Eyebrand for your help.
Does it matter that the knife has no medallion on the scales? As all the Sailors knives I saw that were made by Boker had the tree medallion. Thanks

....marks in the bottom bolster look like someone squeezed it in a vise.
