Grandad’s old folding knife - tang stamp looks like Gremlin

Post by Pepe101 »

Hi,

Cleaned my grandparents house a while ago and came across some knifes. Already sold some, but some keep me tangled, like this one, since I can’t quite figure out their heritage. Curious nature over here. Not at all my area of expertise.

The tang stamp looks like a Gremlin in my opinion. Already tried several search options and Google image, unfortunately without any pleasing results.

Does anyone by any chance know what the stamp means?
Thanks!

I think it is a fox. Voss cutlery. Are there any stamps on the other blades?
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I think Wayne is right--Gustav Voss. Look at this page for a number of German maker marks--Voss is there.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the help!
Gremlin mystery solved :D

Unfortunately there are no other references on the knife.
Which makes it hard to determine the age.

Kind regards,
Kristina
