Hello All,
I have a recent acquisition, of a damascus steel knife/dagger.
I am trying to find out where it's from and approx age of the knife.
So far, my IR has led me to think it may be an Indo-Persian fighting knife made sometime in 1787 or 1887.
The tang has a brass strip with Arabic engraving, including the numeral 87.
Two copper discs present on Damascus steel blade , is that to aid in the manufacturing process?

Knife measures around 9 inches with a buck horn handle.
Any and all information would be great!!
Thanks for reading
