Here is an old Henckels kitchen knife I picked up some years ago. It's been well used and the handle encountered a saw blade more than once. Aside from the stamp (which I can't find in Goins with "twinworks") the most interesting thing IMO is the way the steel thickness varies from a full 1/4" on the spine where the handle meets the blade, to 3/16" directly below that where your forefinger would be, to 1/8" at the rear of the handle. Plus the blade is flat ground!
The blade is about 10" long, 2 1/2" wide and about 15" long overall.

Thanks, Tim! The one for 1969 looks right.
