Identify Carving Set Oddity ?

My wife found this somewhere's in a shop, thougth it was neat, gifted it to me for Father's day. I'm guessing Pakistan, India or Mexico, but I think it's still neat. 17 1/4" OAL, handles included. Fork has 7" tines, knife blade is 7 7/8" x 1 1/4" wide. Scabbard body is 8 3/4" long,
2 1/16" wide at the throat by 7/8" deep, or thick. Extensive chip carving on all wood, knife & fork are definitely not high quality. Hard to tell if the fittings are bronze or brass, haven't cleaned anything yet. No markings at all on anything, steel or wood. C'mon guys, help me out here, any thought or ideas as to origins? Can't wait to sharpen it up for next turkey day!
Levers on top lock both fork & knife into the wooden scabbard.

Wiz, I agree I have seen a few of these in my days and they were all from Pakistan.
