New York Knife flat ware

Post by FRJ »

I just couldn't let this set get away.
They are in great shape for their age ........... what ever that is.
I got them at a flea market this morning.

Beautiful Joe, I love the pewter inlay design. I really like the contrast of the pewter and the cocobolo. Great Flea Market score.

I could not have passed those up either Joe. There's a lot of quality there. Excellent find. ::tu::

Thank you, Phil. I kind of goofed, really. I took the pictures and then remembered to apply some mineral oil on them.
The mineral oil really made them pop.

GREAT SCORE! I know what you mean about not being able to pass something like that by. Some years ago I found a set of six knives and forks with the Keen Kutter stamp and purchased them.Years later I come across a wooden Keen Kutter box for table cutlery.Perfect match!
Also have some Russell table knives(12 I think) along with several other brands.Just goes to show you that it doesn't have to fold or fit in a sheath to be collectible.

Hey thanks, knife7knut.
I collect all sorts of kitchen cutlery. In fact I just bought a Challenge, Bridgeport, Connecticut, steel. For steeling kitchen knives.
It's in transit; I'll show it off when it gets to my door. There cant be too many of those around.
