Post by knife7knut »

Found this today at the local flea market for $1.50.No maker's name but it looks to be fairly old and well made.Has what appears to be a coat of clear varnish on it.

That reminds me of the wire forks we had back in the 50s for roasting weenies or marshmallows in a campfire. Those were longer though.

These 3 expandable forks bring back many, many, backyard cook-out memories.
Closed, 19 1/4 inches long. Open, 29 inches long. I still use them. :D

Yes, they do. Can't remember how many weenies and or marshmallows fell into the fire or coals because the "twig" I was using burned through.

I'm guessing Rte 218, somewhere between West Point & Cornwall.
I'm probably wrong. Haven't been to the Empire State since 2010.
You guys look cold.

Storm King highway, between West Point and Cornwall, that's Bannerman's Island behind my shoulder, figured you'd get it.

I drove over 218 so many times, I knew every twist and turn with my eyes closed. Thanks for the nostalgia. ::tu::
