I will start you off with one clue now. I will post more clues when I feel they are needed.

I did some internet sleuthing 🕵️‍♂️ I follow your “knives in the news”thread and looked at the paper you post “The Newburgh News”.
I then found some Google docs pages for the paper and looked up the 6/19/50 paper and saw the first teaser. From ther I went to the 23rd and found the ad. I enjoy your knives in the news post, though I am surprised at the number of knife related violence stories. I especially enjoy the cartoons and the history of word origins article. This was a fun and generous game you put on and I thank you for it. This site is full of wonderful people!
