Here is an unusual one.
It is chrome plated, has a ruler on one edge the other side is the letter opener.
The back side has a neat engraved design with a truck, boat, airplane and city line.

- I'm not sure if this is just a dagger made for the tourist trade or if it was intended to be a letter opener. The blade edge is dull like a letter opener so ????? I picked it up in Las Palmas, Canary Islands back in '64 when we stopped there for liberty call. We were on the way back from Spain where we had just participated in Operation Steel Pike, the largest amphibious exercise since World War II.

Ray,
It looks like you have one similar to the one I posted above, except yours has a folding knife knife blade.
Can you post a picture of that one?

Dimitri:
I have a couple of those;both have Toledo Scale style scales on one side and advertising on the other.
Here are some unusual ones:
A Pal Cutlery Co with original stag scales.Only one I've ever seen as most have celluloid scales.
A B&B with a funny folder style handle.Someone else posted one of these awhile back and that is only the second one I've seen like that.
The brass handled openers;one advertising a company named JOSAM and the other plain.
A Swedish made letter opener knife from EKA.Again the only one I've ever seen.
A Geo Schrade metal ad letter opener and a sterling silver handled one from Japan.
Last is a couple pics of various makes including Remington,Peres.and NYKC.

Re: Lets see your Letter Openers!
Here is my latest one from e-Bay.The tang stamp is,"Empire Specialty Co.Solingen Germany" on one side;"Lindell" etched into the blade;and,"Rostfrei;Stainless;and Inoxidable" on the opposite side of the tang.I guess it was made for export to several different countries.
Aside from the Toledo Scales, what I find unusual is the presence of scissors on the other side of the handle.
I paid a little more than I normally would for one of these($20 plus shipping)but I thought it was justified due to the unusual features.

My dads old letter opener / scissors combo. It was "desk candy" from when he worked at TWA. Sheath is marked germany, and the cutlery from Italy.
