That celluloid handled opener is beautiful! Looks like it may have been made by Whitehead & Hoag.

This is my one and only real letter opener, a Queen, a birthday present from my son last year. I believe it is a '52-'55 stamp.

Unfortunately, no maker marks.
When I googled the Brokers company, all that came up was a current day Target Dept. store attempting to sell me life insurance. Target has their foot in everything.

Nice openers guys! Here's the two I own. No markings on the sword. The bayonet is marked Pauroux fr-Chexbres. and made in Switzerland. I've often wondered if it fit a model gun.

Found one more:
Hammer Brand U.S.A. (Imperial) shell handles and hollow bolsters, steel liners. c-1938.
5-1/4" closed, 1-3/4" with half stop with a long pull pen blade. Some age spots but never sharpened.

This is mine, it’s a 1954 model and it’s opened thousands of letters without problems (sorry, I’m in one of those moods today ).
Not sure why it’s upside down but that’s okay!

Re: Lets see your Letter Openers!
Here is a letter opener that you won't see floating around that often. It is from the 1930's. The name on it is "Fritz Kuhn." He was the leader of the German-American Bund, which became "Freunde des neuen Deutschland" or Friends Of The New Germany, in the United States (based in New York). He is the guy that staged the huge rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Plenty of info on him on the net. The opener is entirely non magnetic. I think it may be silver, but can't find any markings. It measures approx. 8 1/2" long and was made in Cincinnati, Ohio. I obtained this in the early 1990's.

Sorry, I got that backwards. The "Friends Of The New Germany" became the German-American Bund. Kuhn took over on March 19, 1936.

These belonged to my father, the M1 he got at Fort Jackson, a Samurai type from Japan and a dagger from Germany.
