And what about this thing?

Post by geocash »

This thing was found about two miles from me but not by me. It's over five inches long. I assume the material was chosen partly for it's local abundance. It seems too fragile for chopping into trees. There are enough quartz rocks in the soil around here that it probably wouldn't last long digging in the dirt. It may have been quick & simple to replace by those who made it. The knife beside it was found at the same time right beside it. I believe it is a design called Morrow Mountain which would be 5,000 to 8,000 years old, maybe. I've found several points that appear similar to it on my place. I assume the two objects were about as close in time as they were in space. Any thoughts on these?
