Nice Find

Post by BryanJ »

We all like to find that fabulous rare knife, but sometimes finding that one unique item you’ve been looking for for years, feels pretty good as well. I’ve had this British Southern & Richardson WWII knife for years and could never find a sheath. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, I gave up the search and contacted a local leather shop to custom make a sheath based on a period correct photo. The shop owner told me to come back in a couple of weeks with the knife and he’d make a pattern. Then, last week, after years of searching, I found this sheath on eBay, and was the only bidder. The sheath is even stamped Sheffield, England. I guess the knife picking genies were looking out for me.
