Fairburn Sykes

J. Norwill and Sons marked. It's had bluing polished off and scratch marks (file marks ?) on blade. Kahki painted grip I've never seen before. Looks like a raised letter or something just behind guard under paint but can't tell what it is as the paint seems kinda thick. Any ideas about this knife??
