WWI-WWII Bayonets

Post by Yehuda »

I took my bayonets off my rifles for oiling and snapped a pic. From left to right:
M1884/98 for German K98 Mauser
M1895 for Austrian M95 Mannlicher
No.9 Mk.1 for British Enfield
M1905 for American M1903 Springfield

Nice set. The No.9 is not WWII. Production started at Poole in 1947 and it was approved in the List of Changes in 1948. For WWII get a No.4 spike and a P-1907 for WWI. Both are easily found, still at reasonable prices. You've got a great start on a collection.

Didn't know that. Thanks! I have the spike, just like the blade more.
