I am eying one of these. It is either this or the Museum Replica Smatchet. Does anyone have any experience with these large Ontario pieces?

Not familiar with the one of which you speak but I have an Ontario SP10 that seems to be a sturdy piece.Haven't used it yet but it looks well made.It doesn't photograph well due to the total blackness of the knife.

Mine arrived three days ago with a better (MOLLE compatible) sheath. I haven't done anything but take it to my Lansky honing steel. The 1075 High Carbon Steel has been hardened to between 57-59 Rc and should wear well under heavy use.
