Brass Stacker steel grip for Mosin Nagant 91/30 spike bayonet

Post by TnqCmdr74_78 »

Cleaning my garage shelves today, found my Mosin Nagant 91/30 spike bayonet I had installed a Brass Stacker heavy steel grip in basically turning it into a short sword. The grip is solid lathed steel that fits tightly into the bayonet channel a normal 91/30 barrel would fit into when the Soldier ‘fixes’ their bayonet. The grip itself weighs 1.4 lbs with a hefty ‘skull crusher’ knob as the butt. Once locked into position, a set screw insures the grip stays inside the bayonet channel during use.
I’ve seen versions of the full sized bayonet cut down to a 10-12” spike making it look more like a ‘stiletto’ knife. For years I kept this Mosin ‘short sword’ in a leather sheath strapped to the rear of my ruck ... just in case. The sheath ‘grew legs’ so I’ll have to make another one. Health issues prevent me from going on long distance hunts, so I’ll most likely add this to my other blades I’ll be selling from my collection in the near future. Just thought I’d share this info for those who may have these bayonets gathering dust if you had customized the 91/30 barrel length making it near impossible to mount the bayonet. The Brass Stacker grip affords you to turn the paperweight bayonet into a useful camp, hunting, self defense tool.
