2008 is starting off okay

I just received this in the mail. It is I believe an Uncle Bill variant from the Murphy war years. 4" extreme clip with regular 5 3/4" handle. Has seen some rough use, if it is an uncle Bill it is a oner. If you like military it is nice.

Moss,
Help those of us who are challenged by this type of knife. What is an Uncle Bill? :?

Murphy

Post by Mossdancer »

David Z Murphy had an Uncle Bill whom worked in his shop and ground to the tune of a different grinder as I understand. See attachment from
page 137 MILITARY KNIVES A REFERENCE BOOK. a good book assembled from the pages of knife world. Reasonably priced also.
