w German made plum EICKHORN garand bayonet Rare HAITIAN US M5A1 Us M8a1 scabbard

Post by GSPTOPDOG »

Looking at my M5 A1 I noticed that there were similar markings to the M5 A1in the listing below. The photos in this post are of my M5 A1 for comparison. Mine is marked 08641-S So I am wondering if my bayonet is one of the "EICKHORN Garand bayonets" The eBay listing states that the number means the bayonet is an Eickhorn.

From eBay; "plum colored blade is blade marked.made by eickhorn specifislly for haiti in mid 80s...#06960-s."

https://www.ebay.com/itm/w-German-made- ... 4980196159?

Any insight on what the numbers engraved on the blade mean? Any one familiar with this type of M5 A1?

::tu:: Thanks, I was curious when I saw the numbers on the side of the blade, not like other ones I have had in the past. So I thought I would look into it a bit more and "ask the experts" so to speak.
