New member with strange folding jack knife

Hi all, just registered after lurking for a while.
I have been collecting most of my life and have a few jack knives that some of you may be able to help identify?
I believe some are ww1 and ww2 periods and some post war.
There is one particular one I have never been able to identify, which is a single bladed locker made By James Howarth.
Also I am unsure of the trading rules if any and am hoping someone could help? As I think it is time to downsize.
Many thanks.

That’s a very interesting subset of military folders.

I look at such on Ebay when they appear.

I would truly love to have one an English version from WWI in nice, uneaten pressed cow horn.

Hi, I am unsure of the material of the scales, you say pressed cowhorn?? I had thought maybe bakolite but my forte is fixed blades usually. Are you UK based? I am unsure of trading rules.
I think one maybe Indian as no markings and poor quality, one is French and another is Italian.
As far as I am aware the rest are British, Sheffield made.

I am led to believe these two are WW1 from my own research but am no expert on these knives.
Anyone with more knowledge please chime in.
I have not cleaned them, they are as I received them as I like to leave them be.
Maybe a little light oil on the joints.

Looks like little activity on this website and I have answered my own questions.
The single bladed locking knife in my first post I found in my Ron Flook bible and is SOE/Commando supplied.
I shall be selling my collections including Fairbairn Sykes but obviously not through this site as it looks like I have to make 100 posts and I think it would take me some time without conversation.
I bid you farewell and good luck in your collecting.

Welcome aboard ::handshake::

I am moving your thread to the appropriate forum where it will be seen by the collectors who know about such knives.

As far as I know you don't need to make 100 posts to sell knives on here just become a paying member or contact the owner Bryan and open a store on AAPK.

Cheers and welcome. There's a good old thread here on British military knives, as you are likely already aware. I might be interested in a couple of those post-WW2 all steel knives if you put them up for sale.
