A Greyhound in moderate high relief on mahogany. plus a Labrador Retriever with bass wood, I made 2. The round plate is made by Walnut Hollow.

I really appreciate your sharing your work Mr. Watch. Mahogany is such a pretty wood. The walnut plate is a great backer for the Lab. ::nod:: ::tu::

Thank's guy's, The plate is Basswood, called Linden wood in England. One of the best for wood carving except for competition decoy's. Walnut Hollow is a maker of basswood products for the hobby craft people like at Hobby Lobby and Micheal's craft stores. Pricey but a wholesale artist supply store in our area had it so I got it for a discount using my tax I'd number.

From photo found at the Wood Carvers Round Up. I may have been helping with wood burning lessons that year. Hundreds came from across the nation.

Thank's Dale, most wood burning's have been sprayed with Def't brand Matt finish.
