Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

I remember this one came out back when Buck was in El Cajon, CA. I lived in Sab Diego at the time. They also made one with a gut hook blade. Any idea of what model this one is?

Looks like a CrossLock but I don’t know the model number.

Thanks Rick T. ::handshake:: I went a Law Enforcement trade show in San Diego with a friend that was a SDPD officer in the 90's and Buck was there with a proto-type of this knife with and extra a gut-hook blade for "cutting flex-cuffs" so I got to see it before it was ever released. I just wish I could have gotten ahold of one of those proto-types ::teary_eyes:: back then.

GSPTOPDOG,

That is a Buck 180 Crosslock. I've got one just like it with the gold buckcote. Look at the liner lock release...it should have a '180' stamped on it.

PS: Here's one with the Buckcote on it with the gut hook. Made in 94. This is a GREAT price for one that is mint. These are hard to find in this type of condition. And, you only sharpen it on one side.

My latest Buck was a bomb that about blew my socks off. Cuz (Colonel26) dropped it inside my parameter today. She's a Buck 726 Mini Spitfire and she's a whale of a fine knife. Glad to have her.

Buck Liberty 825. That little copper inlay is an actual piece of the Statue of Liberty from the 1984-1986 restoration project. Nothing extraordinary but kinda neat to have.

Nice acquisition!
