Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

I am assuming you have a modern 301 (420HC blade steel). Several good methods are ceramic sticks, diamond sticks, or a Lansky using the medium stone. I set all of the above at 25 degrees and mine stay plenty sharp. OH

A strop makes a bigger difference than you might think. I recently got a strop paddle and it's that thing I've been missing to get it right. I had no idea it made this much of a difference.

That's a sweet looking 110, Tim. Looks to be in pretty good shape with lots of life left in it for a 76. Nice pick up. ::tu::

LJ, I really like that Buck - took the best of the EcoLite style handles and upped their game - very nice!
David, as a fisherman I think that is a very cool knife. OH

Thanks, Breeze and OH.

David, I've never seen a Buck knife with that design. VERY nice. That's something I would have picked up too, just because it's an 'eye catcher'. ::tu::

Was able to get a 307 and a 301 new in the box. I've wanted a 307 for a while now. Now to find a 317.

Thanks. The 307 is my favorite. The 301 is a little lighter in the walk and talk than I'm used to. But not terrible.

Nice pickUp on the Buck 307. The big Stockman pattern Buck’s are stoutly made and great outdoorsman’s pocketknives. A favorite of mine for taking hunting (along with a Buck 110). John, you need to find yourself one, nice ones pop up now and then at reasonable pricing. OH

Thanks guys. I've just been offered a Buck 317 NIB but it's $125 from the same guy I bought the 307-301 from. I'm tempted but haven't made up my mind yet.

Well crap, I did it again! The last new in box 307 hasn’t even arrived yet and I bought another this morning. June is still several days away and I’ve already bought August’s knife...
