Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

It's been a while since I've really shared anything on here. I'm sorry for that guys, I've been pretty busy on a couple other forums and at home. AAPK is always my first choice and I am logged on almost all the time. I just stopped sharing as much as I once did and I'm not sure why. I enjoy this place so much, I hope to start getting back to the norm again.

Thanks guys, it's been great getting to know you all.

I bought a Buck Vantage Avid, thats the newest model I've gotten from them. I bought it last year at a walmart on our way to trout camp because I needed a bigger just in case knife.
My hip boots leaked and I got suctioned into them, that was until I pulled the avid out and cut myself out.

The attraction was the price. It said USA and I could get it for under $30, so it came home with me.

Also, I won CJ's EDC on another forum.

G56, the thumb hole is okay.

The one I bought at wally world has a little noise to it if you shake it. It's a problem these knives have after they have been opened and closed a few times, Buck got the problem figured out and you can send them in to have 'em fixed. I haven't sent mine in yet.

If you want it, send me your address G56 and it's your's.
I bought it on a whim and will never use it. Which is unfortunate, it's a great knife. I'd be glad to get a better home for it. ::tu::

Well, if you get bored of it and decide that one of your offspring would enjoy it, don't feel bad about sending it to more work.
I hope you enjoy it, it was a fun buy at a great time. ::tu::

Wow GD, that is one fine gift! And kudos to Caleb, he is obviously a class act.

I love my brothers here at AAPK and I enjoy getting to know everyone.

Robert could be my uncle, I think we'd get along out in the woods and enjoy a good deer hunt sometime. ::tu::

I bought a new 301 this year, my first Buck slip joint. It wasn't up to snuff. So I emailed them, they contacted me, apologized, made me a new one and sent it to me no questions asked! It is now one of my best quality knives, and I don't even like stainless generally. As a matter of fact I'm pretty much a Solingen guy. But man is this knife good, and tough.

I've never had a stainless knife that will take and hold an edge like this 301. I'm sold on them and their customer service. I'm a fan for life.
