Model 424 is my EDC and carving knife

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Model 424 is my EDC and carving knife

Post by hard.times.lures »

I have two of the older, original models of the Buck 424 with 425M steel and I think they are great EDC knives.

I think they hold a better edge than the later plastic handled 424 models (now discontinued) and I also use them carving some. They do everything for me and I am wondering who else likes the 424 model?

Blessings, Bryan

Welcome Bryan - besides carving flowers, do you also carve lures?
