Looking for vintage Boker (skinny) thin

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Looking for vintage Boker (skinny) thin

Post by buddyie22 »

I’m looking to gift a cousin a Boker skinny Barlow if there is such a thing. He has come down from Illinois to help me out after a total knee operation and a heart attack. He has a scharade that he carries, I’m looking to give him a different knife that I hope he will like. Medium size not to big . Case would do also. Any ideas ? Thin knife.
Honey do you have your pocket knife ? Do I have my pants on?

We are mostly Buck guys in this subforum but here are a few ideas:
Check out the stores - there is one Boker Barlow that is a one blade, has the thinner handle.

Go up to the Want to Buy subforum and place an advertisement.
Go to the Boker subforum, ask the same question of the Boker collectors.
Check out eBay.
Good luck in your search and in your recovery! OH

Case just reintroduced stainless steel Barlows that might please your cousin. The single bladed ones have pattern number 6109. They are 3 3/8" long closed. Both clip point and spear point single bladed ones are being made. Among others Sheperd Hills Cutlery and SMKW have them.

I do not know Boker's knives well enough to know if they make similar Barlows. Unlike US made Case knives Boker is selling both German and Chinese made knives and it can be tricky knowing which is being sold.

If you enjoy the hunt a great variety of knives get auctioned on eBay.
