Discontinued Buck Knives For 2020

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Discontinued Buck Knives For 2020

Post by KLJ77 »

Didn't see any info posted on this during a search, so thought I'd post it for the Buck fans. This info was posted at Blade Forums on 04 January 2020. The first list is what Buck is coming out with in 2020...which many probably already know. If you're interested in a discontinued knife in the listing, you may want to get it before they're gone.

Buck Knives:

New additions for 2020.
Talon
Ground Combat Knives
Ebony 55 and 113
New colors for the Sprint and 110/112 Slim Selects
CF handled 110 slim pro with screws
Of course the hand full of legacy knives

Officially discontinued for 2020.
289 Fluid
418 Vertex
710 Volt
818 Apex
822 Sentry
Kinetic Spears (all 3)
101 fixed (SFO Only) (SFO = Special Factory Order)
Alpha Crosslock (SFO Only)
Mr. Crappie everything
245 Matt Would Go (SFO only)
279 Alpha Hunter (SFO only)

I read that list, picturing it as a slow scroll with Everybody Hurts playing in the background....

I'm surprised to see the 101 being discontinued. I remember when it first came out they were sort of a hot item, being the fixed blade version of the 110. I was hoping they would release one with a lanyard hole. I may have to pick one up before they're gone.

The 279 was a favorite of mine. The blade deployment is so buttery smooth. And the 418 with the wharncliffe blade is probably the lightest Buck knife I have ever held. Sad to see these go.

I always figured they were slow sellers, of course once they're gone, everyone will want one.
