Stag or bone 110?
Hi. I'm new to knives but having a great time learning. I just received this 1989 110. It was advertised as bone handles. Looks like stag? Either way,, i think its beautiful. How do you tell? Thank you.

Looks like burnt stag to me.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Definitely burnt stag. That porous area in the material is one of the traits of antler. You can see it well where it meets with the liner and bolsters. Normally it is a good practice to lightly oil that area since it is prone to crack if it dries out.

Thank you for the replies. I'm guessing the work was done non factory? I don't have any paperwork, but have seen others very similar on the searches I have done. This one im going to enjoy for sure. Got it all cleaned up and oiled with mineral oil and its ready to go.

I would say it's most likely non-factory because the blade also has that cutout jimping on the spine which was never a factory option. Still a very nice 110, enjoy it.
