Buck 110 date confirmation. Please help.

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Buck 110 date confirmation. Please help.

Post by Railsplitter »

I'm getting 1974-1980 but there are so many variables that I'm not sure.

Can someone help me date this knife accurately?

Thanks.

That looks like it is the first of the Two Dots that had three small handle pins. Earlier Two Dots had either two handle pins or the less common variation with four handle pins. Handle pins on later Two Dots were larger. I would guess sometime around 1976-1977.

Nice old user. Someone put it through the ringer.

Buck has a spa treatment for a small fee they will clean it up and get it as close to new as possible.

I concur with Bert on the date range. One source says it could be as early as 74.

Thanks for chiming in. It's at the Buck Spa right now. ::tu:: I'll post some pics when I get it back.
